User Testing [UX/UI]

40% of people state that they would search for an alternate result if the first website they land on is not mobile friendly. User experience (UX) testing takes place in order to maintain the satisfaction of your website visitors. Without proper optimisation, you may be losing conversions simply because the flow of your website is confusing.

Thorough testing will allow you to pinpoint exactly what your audience wants from your website. Through optimisation of the structure and navigation of your website will maximise conversions, improve sales and increase your bottom line.

User testing allows you to receive actionable insights and avoid assumptions by testing solutions with real people. The results allow you to streamline the customer journey and gain insights which will be applicable in wider marketing while making informed decisions about the future of your website.

HOW DO EDGE APPROACH USER TESTING?

We take an inclusive approach to improving the usability and accessibility of your website. User experience runs through all of our services and is particularly important in increasing conversions and improving your bottom line. Our 15 years of experience has allowed us to develop our user testing process in order to ensure we hit your audience at all the right points in order to improve their experience on your website.

Our user testing process

  • 01

    STEP ONE: SET UP TOOLS

There are a range of tools you can use in order to see how users interact with your website. For example, setting up a programme such as Hotjar will allow us to see how long users are spending on your website and how they are interacting with content on your website.
Other programmes such as Google Analytics will let us see how many pages your audience is viewing.

  • 02

    STEP TWO: REMOTE TESTING

Remote user testing will be carried out by real people, and we can still have a degree of control of the results. We will assess the existing user journey data and can show your audience different versions of the same website in order to see how they interact with it.

  • 03

STEP THREE: ASSESS YOUR CONVERSION RATES

We will see how many people appear to be converting on your current website. This can be assessed by how many people appear to be filling in forms on your website.

  • 04

    STEP FOUR: OPTIMISE & DESIGN

Through the results of our user testing combined with what we know from our customer personas and customer journey mapping, we can adapt the design of your website to increase conversion.

  • 05

    STREP FIVE: BUILD

After designing the website, we can create a functional website that is optimised for different platforms including mobile.

  • 06

STEP SIX: CONTINUED CONVERSION RATE OPTIMISATION

With algorithms currently developing and changing, it’s important to stay up to date with information and continuously check how your audience is interacting with your website. If conversions start to decrease or are seriously impacted, we can adapt and develop the process to ensure that you are always nailing the customer journey and improving your bottom line.
